Your information here
This notice explains the information involved in reading the publication, using the local drafting tool and contacting the editors.
Who is responsible
Cedarwhirlbantr Performance Media Ltd is responsible for personal information it handles in operating this publication. Our registered office is 18 Hawthorn Mews, Bristol BS6 5TX, United Kingdom; company no. 14872631. Contact [email protected] with a privacy question or rights request.
Reading the website
The supplied website uses no analytics scripts, advertising trackers, accounts or embedded social widgets. Images, styles and scripts are served as local site assets. Delivering a page necessarily involves technical information such as an IP address, requested URL and browser request headers. Hosting infrastructure may process this information for delivery, security and fault diagnosis.
We use technical information where necessary to provide the site and pursue the legitimate interests of keeping it reliable and secure. It is not used by this website’s code to build advertising profiles or make automated decisions about readers.
The message drafting tool
Entries in the contact drafting tool are processed in the current page’s memory. The tool does not submit them to a server, create a website account or write them to cookies or local storage. Refreshing or closing the page ends the tool’s in-memory draft, although browser autofill or session-restoration features may behave according to your own settings.
Copying places the prepared message on your device’s clipboard when permitted. Downloading creates a text file on your device. Your operating system, browser and any clipboard-sync or backup services you use govern those local copies.
If you send an email
If you separately send an email, we receive the information you include, such as your name, address, message and correspondence metadata. We use it to respond, assess corrections, maintain necessary editorial records and handle legal or privacy enquiries. Our usual basis is our legitimate interest in managing relevant correspondence; legal obligations may also apply to particular requests.
Please do not send athlete health records, confidential team files or unnecessary information about other people. We do not request special-category health information through the drafting tool. If sensitive material is received, we will assess what is necessary to handle the enquiry and avoid retaining unnecessary detail.
Access, sharing and retention
Information may be handled by authorised personnel and service providers supporting hosting or email, subject to appropriate arrangements. We do not sell correspondence or share it for behavioural advertising. Disclosure may be necessary to comply with law, protect legal rights or address a security incident.
Correspondence is retained only for as long as needed for its purpose, including follow-up, an editorial correction record or a relevant legal requirement. Technical records should be limited to the period needed for operational and security purposes. You may contact us for information about the handling of a particular record. Where a service arrangement involves an international transfer, applicable transfer safeguards must be used.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on applicable law and circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights are not absolute. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity and will explain any lawful limitation that applies.
You can raise a concern with us using the contact address above. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or another competent data-protection authority.
