Using this publication

Read the fieldnotes as educational material, use sources critically and keep individual health decisions with qualified professionals.

Publisher and scope

This website is published by Cedarwhirlbantr Performance Media Ltd, 18 Hawthorn Mews, Bristol BS6 5TX, United Kingdom, company no. 14872631. Questions about these terms can be sent to [email protected].

These terms describe use of the free publication and its browser-only drafting tool. If you do not accept them, do not use the tool or rely on the publication as a service. Nothing here creates a coaching, clinical or professional advisory relationship.

Educational information, not individual advice

Articles discuss wearable technology, research methods and general training interpretation. They are not medical advice, diagnoses, treatment plans, personalised exercise prescriptions or return-to-play clearance. Do not delay seeking appropriate professional care because of something you read here.

Training and participation decisions require knowledge of the athlete, the sport and the circumstances. Consult suitably qualified medical, coaching and performance professionals. A wearable score cannot establish that training is safe, and an example in an article is not a recommendation for a particular person.

Accuracy and changing evidence

We aim for careful, useful reporting, but research, products, rules and linked resources change. We do not guarantee that every page is complete, current or suitable for every purpose. Check original sources, equipment instructions and relevant sporting regulations before acting. Notify us of a possible error through Contact.

References to organisations, standards or products do not imply affiliation, approval or endorsement. The publication is independent of the governing bodies, institutions and suppliers it mentions.

Permitted use and intellectual property

You may read, link to and print reasonable portions for personal study or internal discussion. Brief attributed quotations may be used where permitted by applicable law. Do not reproduce substantial portions, republish the site or commercially distribute its material without permission, except where a legal exception applies.

Third-party materials, trademarks and source publications remain subject to their owners’ rights. A link to a research paper does not grant rights to reproduce that paper. Contact us if you wish to reuse material beyond ordinary quotation or statutory exceptions.

Drafting tool and correspondence

The contact tool prepares plain text locally. It does not send email, provide secure record transfer or guarantee a response. You control whether to copy, download or separately send the resulting message. Check the text and recipient before sending, and do not include confidential or sensitive third-party information.

Do not misuse the site, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with availability or send unlawful material. Please use editorial correspondence for genuine enquiries and corrections rather than unsolicited bulk promotion.

External links and availability

External websites are controlled by their respective operators. Their content, availability and privacy practices may change. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to this publication or the continued operation of every link or browser feature.

Responsibility and your legal rights

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss arising from reliance on general educational content, third-party services or use of the drafting tool outside its stated purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights allowing you to bring a claim elsewhere. We may update these terms when the publication changes. Read them alongside the Privacy notice and Cookies information.
